Basque Language Classes
Txoko Ona offers two levels of Basque language classes. Taught weekly by Gloria Lejardi, attendees will learn greetings, numbers, days of the week, time, body parts, question words, and other fundamentals of conversation.
Level 1 – For beginners with no or minimal knowledge of Euskara. The students will learn to greet others and introduce themselves, as well as, describe their surroundings, their families, and everyday activities. They will learn the most common verbs and the grammar rules that correspond with the weekly vocabulary. Everyone is welcome and the atmosphere is very relaxed.
Level 2 – A continuation of Level 1. The weekly vocabulary, grammar rules, and more verb tenses will enhance the student’s ability to communicate at a higher level with more complex sentences. This is not an intense course; everyone learns at a relaxed pace.
Classes are held in the classroom at Txoko Ona on Tuesday evenings from September - April.
6:00 - 7:15 PM: Level 1
7:15 - 8:30 PM: Level 2
